God’s Underwater Riches – Looking For God #FaithFriday

I would like to introduce my guest, Bryce Bengtson, a twelve year old with an incredible heart for God and a gift for words.

Gods underwater riches

Imagine with me for a moment that you are diving with a tour guide and your family. You look around and see a sea turtle, a few different parrotfish, and an angel fish. All of a sudden you see a shipwreck. You go closer to investigate. When you look closer you see what looks like a shark. You squint and see it IS a shark, a blue shark! You know that blue sharks usually are in schools, so you start swimming, swimming away. You find the tour guide and tell him about the shark. He tells you they are harmless unless you threaten them, so you get to go back to check out the shipwreck.

God is like the treasures in the shipwreck. The devil is like the blue shark. The devil tries to scare people off. The devil can seem pretty scary, but if you belong to Jesus he can’t hurt you.. What you have to do is hold your ground when you are confronted by him, and the way to do that is to use God’s word. God says,

Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. (Ephesians 6:13 NLT)

If you want to get closer to God, He will help you get past the scary parts, and He will show you his riches. Another part of Ephesians (2:7) says “… he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” He will show you the right people to get to his riches. He will give good people to put into your life and show you the people to get out of your life. He loves you and sent Jesus to show you his riches. Jesus is your tour guide. He showed you the shipwreck and pushed you towards God’s riches for you.

Ephesians 3:8 To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ,

-God will give you his riches, but you have to come to him and look for him.

Meet Bryce Bengtson

Hope-for-the-Next-Generation-with-Bryce-Bengtson-smallHi! My name is Bryce Bengtson and I am the author of “Hope for the Next Generation.”

When people meet me, they learn that a) I love books, b) I love to play games and the performing arts, and c) I love Jesus.

I have always grown up in a Christian home and my parents have always been caring. I started writing soon after I started reading. My mom writes a blog and has written a book, and I wanted to write too.

“Let no one look down on you for your youth…” 1 Timothy 4:12. My hope for “Hope for the Next Generation” is for many people to be able to read it and for them to be inspired and to grow closer to God. Even though I have my plan for “Hope for the Next Generation,” I am going to leave it in God’s hands and see where He takes it.

I hope many people can come along with me on this journey, including you.

I hope you’ll read each post, share your thoughts in the comments section, and share the posts with your friends so we can expand the hope within our generation!

Sharing Hope for the Next Generation,

Bryce

  1. Bryce, thank you! Your heart and wisdom made a huge impact on me and countless others. What a great analogy. I will continue to seek the treasure, even and especially amidst the sharks… God bless you abundantly…
