ORINGINAL POST: May 29, 2012

First things first, I am giving away FIVE copies of Glynnis Whitwer’s book, I Used to Be So Organized! Thanks to a very generous donation! {Love you girl!}. Read on to learn how you can win your copy!

If you stepped into my office you wouldn’t think much of my organizational skills. In fact…as far as organizing my “stuff” I’m not all that great. However, being organized isn’t just about getting our “stuff” in order, but about organizing our hearts, minds, and emotions. I hope you will join me and about 2,000 of my closest online friends as we begin to organize our lives inside and out using Glynnis’ book. Our study begins THIS Sunday, June 3rd and goes through August 5th. Lessons are emailed to you each Sunday, making it easy for you to follow along and stay organized!

More about the book…{description taken from the P31 site}…

Glynnis Whitwer’s newest book, I Used to Be So Organized addresses the frustrations many women feel when they can’t handle their lives. They know, deep in their hearts, they should be able to manage things. After all, they used to be organized…ten or twenty years ago. But now, life seems to hand them one distraction and challenge after another.

Combining spiritual encouragement and practical application I Used to Be So Organized presents a balanced approach to finding order and peace for today’s overwhelmed woman. This book contains 23 chapters, each short enough for a busy woman to read during a lunch break. Every aspect of life come together in this one easy-to-read guide.”

  1. This book and study sounds like a must for me! I so agree with some of the other posters, before kids I was organized! I need skills and tips to help me achieve with that balance!

  2. Ok, so I think it will do me good to come clean before we start. I’ve already posted that I signed up for the study and shared on Facebook, but here’s a little taste of where I’m at. I just need HELP period. I live with my parents for health, and I am responsible for my bedroom, bathroom, and my nieces’ and nephews’ toy room. I can’t keep just that straight. Right now, my room looks like a hurricane hit it, and I can say this because I was a victim of Hurricane Katrina. So, I know what it looks like! There are dirty clothes all over the floor and clean clothes on the bed. Each have been there for weeks. I have a little spot to sleep in on my mattress….that’s right, the sheets are on the floor! And to top it off, I’m going back to grad school online.

I need all the emotional help that I can get. I’m a total mess. I can’t even find the card for my next counseling appointment. I think it’s in the floor somewhere.

I was reading the Bible through chronologically this year and was doing great. Right on target. Now, my Bible is buried somewhere in all the clothes on my bed.

I feel so overwhelmed and totally useless at this point. I know that this study doesn’t even touch some of my problems, but if I could just get some order in the chaos that is my life, it’ll be worth it!

  3. As I sit here looking around I realize that I need organization, both in my physical world and my spiritual life. With two little ones and being a bit unorganized naturally, I have definitely slipped behind the pile. I hope this study will help me find my center and focus my life. 🙂

  4. I have signed up and I’m looking forward to it! One area I’m hoping we cover is organization for a home office! I find it challenging – and sometimes distracting – to have those two parts of my life in the same physical area.

  5. I have singed up and am looking forward to the study! I need to just get myself motivated to be an organized person again. I seem so overwhelmed with everything I have to do and I feel frustrated a lot of the time. I am hoping to get organized in all aspects of my life!!!

  6. I feel this is an answer to my prayer. Currently I’m in a relationship with a very disciplined, structured man. I am the complete opposite. I feel that certain areas of my life (planning ahead of time, etc.) are very hard to get organized. Eventually I would like to get married and be a mom, I want to be able to have my house-hold under control and not fall into the pattern of improvisation. I want to honor God by being a good steward of the things God has entrusted me with, including my time.

    1. You sound like me, except completely opposite. I tend to be the disciplined one and my husband of nearly 16 years is not as much.

  10. Would love to win the book. Have been in last 2 studies. Did not get this book or sign up for this study because we had a death in our family and everything went to the wayside. Would feel blessed to be a book winner. Thanks
