There are no words in any language of the world, nor in the heavens above, to express the agony involved with being crucified. Men have tried to portray crucifixion in movies. Enhancing the screams, overflow of blood from wounds, and the sound of metal scraping against bone into a wooden beam. They try in vain.
Tune Out!
Apparently I wrote this on my phone months ago…I had to try and find it online to make sure I didn’t write it somewhere else!

Tune Out the world so you can tune into the ones you love…
It’s no secret, our lives are getting busier each day. Our children’s schedules are no better {Ok, Stacy still sleeps quite a bit…but before long she’ll be wanting to borrow the car!}. Between school, work, activities, friends, and more, it’s no surprise that family time is becoming harder and harder to squeeze into our week. Time with our family is precious. Before we know it, they’ll be grown up and gone. It’s never too late to tune out the world so we can tune into our family.
Checking In
I know, I know…It’s been FOR-EH-VER! Just in case you’ve been wondering what I’ve been up to for the past three months…here’s a little looksee…
Click here to meet Stacy Maria Bleier!
And just letting you know, I’ll be back very soon! In the mean time, I’d LOVE to know what you’ve been up to for the past three months!
Is this thing on?
For my awesome friends and subscribers, you’ve seen this post before, but it fit perfectly with this week’s Greater Blog Hop, so it’s being reused. One of this week’s topics is:
Elisha had it easy. He knew God had called him to leave the dull behind when the great prophet Elijah showed up at his plow. What about you? Share a time when God spoke clearly into your life. Big or small, how did you discern His calling in your life?
Of course, before we jump in, here is the winner of a copy of Unglued by Lysa TerKeurst: Noelle who posted on November 29, 2012 at 11:50 am! Congrats sister!

In scripture, we read over and over of God speaking directly to His people. He walked with Adam and Eve in the garden, Jacob wrestled with God in the desert, Joseph understood His will through dreams, He spoke to Moses through a burning bush, an angel of the Lord appeared before Gideon, and the list could go on through the New Testament. How did they know it was truly God giving them direction and not the devil seeking to distract them?
Let’s take a quick look at one person who gives us the clearest picture of God’s direction, Gideon.
Lifted Up!
“The president probably won’t release a statement calling us the greatest anything when we die…Nobody will post a blog entry about our lives…” pg 7 Greater, Pastor Steven Furtick
Today I plan to do just that…
But, first I have to announce the winner from Monday’s Let. It. Go. giveaway. The winner is:

Congratulations! I will contact you so I can get your information and you can get your copy of Karen’s new book!
Alrighty, so here’s the skinny. In addition to Wendy Blight’s Living So That Bible study, I’m enjoying Melissa Taylor’s online study of Pastor Steven Furtick’s newest book Greater. This week she gave us three blog topics for today’s blog hop and this the one I chose…
Let.It.Go {Giveaway}
Ok y’all, before you dive into Karen Ehman’s new book LET. IT. GO. How to Stop Running the Show & Start Walking in Faith, I have to just say, I’m NOT a control freak. In fact, the little quiz I took at the end of the first chapter told me to, “Wrap this book up and give it to a bossy friend.” Well, I didn’t wrap up Karen’s book and I’m so glad I didn’t!
Even though control doesn’t seem to be one of my issues, I found myself highlighting huge chunks and making my own notes in the margins. I am about to pop out my first kiddo and I have a feeling that if I do have a controlling side of myself…my little one is going to bring it out in me! Karen’s insight on “Running the Show at Home” gave me so much to think about. Keep in mind ways to be a mother who nurtures…not tortures nit picks her kids or her hubby.
So for those of you who don’t think you have controlling fiber in your body, I still recommend this book for it’s insight, honesty, and humor.
I recommend it so much, that if you leave a comment and share this post on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and wherever else you can share, you’ll be entered to win a copy of her book! {In your comment let me know where you’ve shared this post, you get an extra entry for each place you share!}
On that note…who wants to Win a Kindle Fire!! We are giving away two Kindle Fires. One to a random reader who comments on one of the blog tour sites and one to a participant who signs up for the 5-day free resource From Chaos to Calm: The LET. IT. GO. Christmas Challenge.
Philippians 4:13 anyone?

As I have been answering this week’s homework questions for Wendy Blight’s Living So That online Bible study, this jumped out at me…
Share a memorable time in your life when you were watchful and experienced answered prayer.
The most recently answered prayer happened yesterday morning, but began on Monday…
On Monday, I told a few people that Daniel and I had decided to go with a natural, no meds birthing plan. It was met with genuine concern from friends who love me and questions of why I was insane enough to even consider going without an epi. It wasn’t just one person who reacted that way, even my doctor {who is an amazing person} gave me the, “there’s no reason to go natural,” speech.
